Scout Raft-building, Lopwell Dam

On Friday, 5 Scouts and one guest visited Lopwell Dam in order to construct and paddle their own rafts. Despite the weather, two rafts were built and both survived several crossings of the river. The only ones who got wete were those who decided to jump in afterwards.

Gutter Tor Group Camp, 2017

From the evening of Friday 28 July until the morning of Monday 31 July a large number of our youngsters took part in the first group camp, based at the ‘old scout hut’, now owned by HMS Raleigh, just beyond the Gutter Tor car park. Fun on the water, Saltash Passage

14 Scouts and Cubs attended a Sailing and Kayaking session at Saltash Passage on Friday evening, in glorious weather conditions. Due to numbers the group split into three sections and rotated through the dingy, the kayaks and the support boat. A few decided to go it alone at the end to round off a great evening.

It’s a knockout 2017

Another great day for our group, this time at the home of 1st Keyham (St Mark) Scout Group.
Teams of 4-7 took part in 6 bases in the morning and another 6 in the afternoon. We managed to enter 8 teams altogether and came away with 4 of the 6 medals (Gold and Silver for the Beavers. Silver for both Cubs …

Tug of War 2017

Another great day out at Ernesettle with 31st Plymouth Scout Group and their annual Tug of War competition.
After many hard fought battles we came away with the Beaver’s Trophy, yet again, and the Adults paper mug. Great that we have enough adults around now to form our own team.
Well done to all three sections for taking part.
